Physicians may be designated as an AMS 700 Center of Excellence if they meet the following criteria:
Clinical requirements
- The physician must complete a minimum of 25 AMS 700 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis implants in one year. Proof of case volume will be submitted by the physician to Boston Scientific via a signed verification and completed tracking worksheet. Boston Scientific will keep this data on file.
Commitment to patient education*
- The physician’s primary practice must maintain their website with current and accurate educational information on erectile dysfunction disease state and treatments, such as the AMS 700 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis
- The physician agrees to utilize “HARD: The fight to solve ED,” a patient education and therapy awareness docuseries, through QR tear pads, posters, and/or other office collateral at all their clinic locations
- The physician must also deliver educational programs on erectile dysfunction and treatment options three times a year**
* At physician’s expense.
** Educational program requirements begin in the second year (one year after receiving the initial COE designation) and can be conducted within the individual practice, the community, or with third-party patient advocacy groups (Prostate Cancer Survivorship groups, etc.). Events can be live or virtual but must be new, unique events (not replayed or rebroadcast events). If the physician records VIDSCRIP messaging and offers it to ED patients in their practice, it will count as one of the three patient education events annually.
